I find it shocking how low the prices of second had Wedgwood jasperware are. It's almost as if no one wanted any of it and people are almost giving it away for free.

Yet the new jasperware (that's not even made in England anymore so I've heard) is called exclusive and decadent.

The same goes on with so many other things too.

    What's up with that?

Fashion I think. What's in style and demand at one time may not be at another. Wedgwood jasperware has a long history so maybe it will become fashionable again.

Upside is you can find it for very little money. I recently picked up a lovely primrose jasperware bowl for nearly nothing.

True. Just because it's timeless and beautiful, doesn't mean it's trendy. Trends (in decorating especially after the early 1930s) have mostly been an exhibit of ugliness and bad taste.

If you'd like to take a walk on the wild side, here's a slightly different design: black and white but with a lid.

And it's not even the cheapest one.

I've been taking advantage of the low prices. I've been collecting little Wedgwood covered boxes. Just picked up two for $4 each. People just don't collect much of anything anymore.

Obviously this isn't a great great piece but it's not very expensive even though it's tricolour

Yes, not the best of pieces. I sold 3 plates at average £230 each.
