Hello! I was gifted a locket, but I don't have any information with it. I'm hoping to date it so I can do some family history investigating.
    Thank you!

Most people here like the full sized picture instead of the little clickies!

Everyone is going to ask you for pictures of the back, the clasp, and open it up. Any marks?

Try to make us feel like we have it in hand and can turn it any which way and look at all the details.:joyful:

Welcome, aquagirl. I'll duplicate what lauragarnet said. It would be good to see pics of the back and the clasp, and the entire chain. The chain seems pretty unusual to me.

I'm kinda surprised how long it takes someone to return after they ask a question....
    Sometimes never. :p

Um well... the original question was posted only 9 hours ago. Not everybody hangs around online as much as we do!

True though I find it odd the person didn't check back soon.

She might be unfamiliar with the quick responses here. Normally when I post in an unfamiliar forum I assume I'll wait a while for a reply. And that is what usually has happened!

And that reminds me that I have some other things to do this morning... 'bye for now.

Not much help here but will mention that somewhere in my estate jewelry hoard I have a bracelet made from that exact chain. I tried to find it but no luck so far. I don't remember it having any marks but know it did not test for solid gold.

Looks like a watch fob chain to me.
