    Hi,

I bought this painting at an estate sale today; the woman had lived in the home since the 1950's; the back of the painting has written in pencil "St Barths"; i would guess maybe a 1970's or 1980's piece?

I cannot find any information on the artist; can anyone help me please.

    Thanks

@AllamericanAZ , A lot of people won't futz around with the little tiny thumbnails and will never see your photos. Almost everyone prefers the full size pics directly in the thread. :)

    Hi,
Regular tourist art from St Barts. They are found all over the Caribbean. People paid a pittance to do art.

Very pretty, love the colors. Im afraid you may never find out who painted this, the frame screams 1960s-70s. Ha ! In my defense I was typing when all the answers identifying the artist were posted !

Tourist art for sure. I've seen similar pieces from Haiti and Jamaica locally. They're bright and pretty and popular, but never resell for much. On the other hand, if you need brightly colored art for a dark room, they're aces.
