Am I watercolor?

    Found this lovely today,like I have any room ! Shes 12x10,and I think watercolor,but it seems richer so maybe gouache ? Her face looks very deco to me, I havent pinned down her costume yet but I think maybe Russian ? The initials are j.q.c. I just LOVE all the colors. Any input is appreciated.

    The closeup of the initials is kind of blurry on my screen, but given the little "flip" on the second letter is at the top and there doesn't appear to be a period between it and the C, I'd say it's J. O'C.

    This looks like it could be done with watercolor pencil or perhaps by someone not well versed in the typical use of watercolor. Looks a bit heavy-handed if done with a brush. Also could be mixed media such as colored pencils and watercolor.

    That is the whole image.Its matted to the very edge of the painting.If you click on the pic it magnifies. :)
