On one side of Seltzer Bottle is painted "Fred Harvey, Chicago Ill" on the other side is acid etched Aur-Brad Bev. Dist. Glen Oaks, L.I. N.Y. in center is a Star of David.

This listing on ebay has a Seltzer Bottle with two markings one the identical Aur-Brad and the other Cicero Bottling Works http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintag...604756?hash=item41b7a03794:g:q-cAAOSwmtJXbWcm

I can find no information on The Aur-Brad Co. Do you think they sold their bottles when they went out of business? Is there any significance to the Star of David? I bought the bottle because it is Fred Harvey and did not realize the other name was on it.

The ebay listing that I referenced is the same bottle. Why they ended it I do not know. From what I read there were small companies all over the country that refilled these bottles. Why would they ship Seltzer from Long Island to Chicago? I cannot find any information on Aur-Brad? I was wondering if there was a Jewish connection, like Kosher Water???

No need to apologize. I would not have noticed but I googled Aur-Brad so many times and both of the listings popped up.

    Just throwing this out there.
There is a company called Brooklyn Seltzer Boys that has a whole collection of old seltzer bottles in their midst. You might want to contact them and see if they can offer any input.
