I believe this is a fairly modern Indonesian import.

Hmmm. that doesnt quite tie in with the amount of time my grandparents had it. thanks though.

Maybe some pics of drawer construction would help narrow it down. I thought newish as well. Its a great little piece .

As Johnny said, pictures of drawer construction, close up of drawer pulls, how drawer pulls attached, these are the things we look at to determine age.

No, need a side picture of how the front joins the side

At the top of your photo list is a photo/group photo with that option.

I don't see anything to change my opinion. By fairly modern, I mean sometime the last 40-50 years. I realize that some think that to be a long time ago but, to those of us used to dealing with furniture at least twice that old and more, this is fairly modern. How long have your grandparents had it?

Also, don't believe this to be walnut but, rather, some type of tropical plantation hardwood.

Yeah, i was guessing on the wood type to be honest. it just has a similar irregular geain to walnut.

Using sheesham as a search term, I do find more. Seems that India is the common source. Would have thought Indonesia with those drawer pulls but India is also a likely probability.
