STENCIL ART?

I have been told this is stencil art, have tried to research and have found nothing that is helpful, about 20 yrs old, It is very large and vibrant, I feel it is a factory piece but before I send to garage sale pile would like to know more,On canvas. there is a signature but no way can I make sense of it or even see it clearly. as always any insights appreciated.

It looks like it might be inspired by one the prehistoric cave paintings somewhere in the world.

Can you get a straight on shot of the signature, hopefully with out glare?
It looks like it starts with an R or P, and ends with an S.

Does that say Phillips? If so, it may be one of the Vanguard studios painting signatures (or done by a similar competing firm). Tried to verify this just now with some quick research but could not. I know I have seen the Phillips signature over and over through the years on some very large factory paintings. I don't think this is worthless. Some people will pay a hundred or two for these large graphic works. A lot of impact there for the money. I think the subject matter on this one is better than many.

 

Looking closer at the signature after enlarging the photo, this may say Reynolds. If so, it is definitely a Vanguard Studios painting.
