Am new here. A few things I am trying to find info on

i got a few items recently when my mom died. They belonged to my grandmother who lived in England no clue how old they are or what they are worth help please

Crown Ducal was part of this company:

The firm was around in one form or another well into the 70s. They don't seem to ever have changed their mark, so that's no help. The dish is displaying upside down, but best guess is it dates to the 20s from what I can see. If there's no hand painting on it, it could be a bit later.

How can you tell if it is hand painted or not?

 

I think you would see some evidence of brush strokes in close up. Printed should show a dot matrix.

 

A jeweler's loupe or other decent magnifying glass would help. i just pull my glasses down. Dots and really fine lines mean the color was mechanically applied. Streaks are often a sign of hand painting.

 

And sometimes they used a stencil for outlines, then hand painted. You will see both dots and brushstrokes on the same piece.
