Music box? How old what is it worth?

    Reuge is a Swiss music box company still in business.
    Their inlaid boxes are still expensive when first purchased.

    Depending on size, condition, detail of inlay and if the music box still works, I can get 20-40 retail.
    I would put yours at the lower end as it appears to be one of the smaller boxes.

    1970s from the label. Only the movement is Reuge, the box was made by the carpenter called Peter Ball.

    The kind of thing sold at craft fairs. And given that the maker's label is in English and French, wouldn't be surprised if he were Canadian.

    Could be. The lid is a standard mass produced component, I've had a number of boxes - not musical - with it used.
