Can anyone please give me some info about this rocking chair that my Great Grandma gave me. She said it was her Grandmother's chair. I found it in her attic years ago. It seems to be made of oak with leather in the seat and on the back. I just want to know it's age and value.

Circa 1900. Value is what your market will bear, depending on selling venue. This type of furniture is not popular right now. There was a time not all that long ago that this was a $350.00 chair but not any longer. Here in semi-rural Midwest, I would expect to find this in the $50.00 range at auction and about $150.00 at retail. Other areas may do better or worse. Condition is also important. If the leather is not in good condition, the value is pretty much nil. No one wants to do any upholstery work these days and to have it done would exceed the value of the chair.

What he said, unfortunately. Victorian pressed wood is worth slightly more than kindling in my neck of the woods.
