No idea where it’s from

I recently acquired this bronze and pottery ram I found a not with it that said it’s by Loet Vardveen but he doesn’t have any other work like it and it’s unsi

 

Is this the same item you are calling a "pottery goat" (with the same "note") in your other thread?

Which is weird because I’m generally good with identifying antiques throughout the internet this is a stumper for me

 

Well, you really ought not to have started a second thread. Especially since your descriptions and pictures of what is supposedly the same item are different. You could have added additional text and more pictures to the one you started first.

Seems clear to me that the reason you did not find anything that looked like his work is because you searched with the wrong name.

 

Well, I could not find your ram, but here is another piece by Vanderveen that shows a lot of texture like your piece, so it was probably just from a different time period.

I assume it’s by him because of the clues and upon researching him but I was able to find no others like it and not signature so that’s been intriguing me. Thanks for the help everyone is giving the feedback is appreciated,
