Featured Antique doorstop

    Hello again, this is a cast iron dog doorstop with no markings. My father picks this up about 40ish years ago.....

    I think we need more pictures than just that one, Leslie. At least one that shows the entire bottom.

    I was wondering how they came up with the 1959 date.
    I see that someone wrote that on the base. Could mean anything.

    I would put this in the 1940s.

    Pat - what do you make of the fact that it's solid and not cast in 2 pieces?

    I have small ones like that.
    Leslie didn't give measurements. Might be a bookend or just a decorative scottie.

    I have a Scotty that was once white, but the paint is gone, so this probably was painted at one time.
