Hi all . If nothing good is coming out of this covid mess,Im finally digging into drawers and cupboards and I found these Shreve and co candlesticks I had totally forgotten about ! I cant recall ever running across the term base loaded before . Ive of course seen weighted, but not this. My question is,are they worth more because of being marked Shreve and co San Francisco ? They are 7 inches high, and I think quite lovely in their simplicity . Any input is always appreciated .

Where does it say "base loaded?" I don't see it (and no I don't think I have ever seen that term before.)

Weighted would be much more likely but I don't see that in the picture either.

I agree that is what it means. But this is the only time I've ever since that term.

On the west coast, Shreve items can fetch a higher price than normal items.

They are very nice, Johnny! As we say in my neck of the woods, they are “Spendy”. :)

That's the east coast Shreve (Shreve Crump and Low) not the San Fran Shreve.

Back in the 70's I worked next door to the SC&L store in Salem, MA. Lovely window displays.

That on should be after 1922, Pat. No bee, no bell.
