Watercolor Signed Ruth Carr Klopp

    That's a very professional looking piece and signature. And there's no wonder - she was a trained artist, working in 1930 under her maiden name as a commercial artist in Chicago.

    Ruth (Carr) Klopp was born May 11, 1908 in Illinois and died Apr 10, 2003 in James City, Virginia. Husband Theodore Klopp. Social Security number issued in Wisconsin. in 1940 Ted and Ruth were living in Chicago. He was a terminal master for a railroad company. She was not working at that time.

    Thanks. Strange that there is no other info or artwork by her online ( or at least I can't find it). She must have been a commercial artist but not that well known.
