    No I don't think that was Crepe, I'm not sure they had that then......
    I've seen that crinkly fabric in a few Regency boxes in Blue too.

    Beautiful restoration!!! I'm trying to figure out if the lift out tray was covered with pink paper or painted pink, and how you got it stripped off so cleanly. Whatever the case may be, the way you restored it, and the colors you chose are perfect.

    Thank you, I'm glad you think so :)

    The Georgians covered the wood pieces with paper but I don't know if they used coloured paper or painted it, I'm trying to find out.
    The nearest I can get is to cover the pieces with old paper from books that are past their best then paint them in Regency colours.....
    I was lucky with this one because the sections were all in good condition, just rubbed and dirty so only needed painting :)
