The logo looks correct, but I'm not sure its a belt. Any measurement on the length? The "push" on the spring clasp looks wrong (not only for a belt). DOes the leather feel exceptionally soft?

First, the leather should be lambskin, much softer than most other leathers. And the grain looks correct.

Second, the clasp bother me - it looks to utilitarian for CC, BUT

Third, the one you link to is a Tradsey listing and I know from experience that Tradsey vets closely and thoroughly, so if yours is the same, than I would have to say it is genuine.

Just a note if you are ever searching to validate the authenticity of Chanel, Vuitton, Gucci, etc. Don't use the term REPRO -if it has the designer logo but is not authentic mavens term it COUNTERFEIT. If it does NOT have the designer logo but looks the same otherwise they call it INSPIRED.

Hope that helps anyone who has to navigate the world of designer/luxury goods.

Thanks for clearing that up, mansons :)
Looks like the tradesy piece is threaded with ribbon, whether that makes a difference or not i wouldn't know...
The catch color looks like white metal.

That catch bothers me - I wouldn't expect it on a Chanel piece, but who knows, they have done other unexpected things. As for the ribbon, I get the impression that the seller was not an English speaking native who actually meant "ribbon of leather" - but again, who knows.

What I do know is that Tradesy is a third party seller. They locate sellers on other venues (in our case it was on eBay) and they vet the seller and the items and (with your permission) put them on their website. It actually works out rather well, recapturing the luxury buyers who have abandoned eBay because of the counterfeit problem. We sold a LOT of very high end stuff via Tradesy and they handle all of the customer service - including returns - they pay for the return and they keep the item. The seller never even knows there was a return unless a counterfeit can be proven.

I'd be cautious with that. When it comes to Chanel pieces, if it looks a little off it probably is. They make and made high quality pieces with attention to detail. If there's a way to ask Chanel themselves I'd do that first.

I tried to zoom in, but really couldn't tell if it was ribbon or leather... Thanks for the tradsey info.

    Have a good one!

Fake. It simply hasn't the quality. The real thing would not have those bad join lines on the "leather", the thing is badly worn and that catch is awful. The links would be almost invisibly joined on a real one.

You may be right. Seems like it is not real leather neither.
