Can anyone help me identify this locket? It's very colorful and is covered in stones of all colors. I've had it for years, found in a dresser I bought at an estate sale.

    Thank you so much

    Hi,
Pretty locket. Reminds me of several bejeweled picture frames I have. They are Austrian 1890-1905.

I don't think it is that old greg.
    More like 1950s - 60s

Looks like the other side might open too. Does it?
#1 - See how the glass sits below the catch
#2 - See the the divider between the two sides

    Thanks for the responses.

Once it's opened, the ring and clear piece can come out, I don't believe it can be opened any more than that.

any idea what type of stones are on it?
And the metal? COPPER or brass perhaps?

The locket clear piece could very well be for a lock of hair or photo. The glass looks slightly convex to me.

How about pastel glass moonstone cabochons as descriptive words for the big oval stones...?

Those faux moonstones, either in glass or plastic, are called moonglow. I LOVE them and can't resist picking them up whenever I see them :shame:

Catseye glass cabochons. Moonglow works too, but they have the lines so I'd say catseye. It's American made, best guess.
