I have two matching - they're small, only 4.5" tall x >3" wide... I tried to photograph the oval shapes along the top. They do look hand cut. Very good quality and finish, similar to Waterford. Any idea?

    Thanks!

Another possibility, Match holder in this narrow shape? The pattern appears to be a block pattern, possibly Duncan & Miller.

Cigarette holder for "looses". Stylish dinner tables had the as well as coffee tables for entertaining. They would have bee the unfiltered regular size.

Thanks! It looks like "Block" pattern is more dimensional - almost like a pineapple. Am I right in thinking Duncan & Miller is less desirable than Cambridge? (Generally)Here's what I found for "Block"

Not Geo. Duncan & Sons, (Pittsburgh), Duncan, Miller & Co., Washington Pa. (probably not them, either.) Scout's image may be the former. ( Geo Duncan)

D & M vs Cambridge? I'd think its' a toss-up, for crystal, colors might be different.

Big difference in price, I think... I put $45 on them - I think Cambridge goes for about 2x.

I wasn't successful photographing them, but the oval "cuts" along the top are very irregular. But they have no ring and are glass anyway - would they have added that later on pressed glass? I have seen some glass described as "cut" when it's actually pressed with a few "cuts" :) (perfume bottles)

Thanks Geo, Cherry, Komo and everyone - Hi! :)

t is not unusual for molded glass to have a cut. I sure do not see them in the photos which are nice.
