Where to find similar seats ?

    Seats painted and with a other kind off support springs then normal in the Netherlands . And painted with symbols . So any idea's where ther from and age and who could paint like this ? thanks IMG_0262.JPG IMG_0263.JPG IMG_0261.JPG

    I don't think the paint is original to the chairs. I have never seen support springs like this.

    That first picture shows camouflage at its best. You know something is there but it near impossible to make out what it is.

    The best thing to know where these kind off support springs are used in the seat building to determine the country off origing first I think ? The shape off the seats must also say something maybe about the age and country or area ?

    I suspect there are some lovely,mid century chairs under someones "vision" .

    But maybe the contruction with these springs used like that could give away some more information about the country where there made ? IMG_0263.JPG

    It probably would but, if no one has ever seen such a system, we remain clueless. The Scandinavians were often innovators in seat suspension so that would be my best guess. Wouldn't put it past the Germans either.

    On a other forum somebody said the could be Parker Knoll Springs . So English seats or only the springs as he invented ?

    If you are in the Netherlands, I expect they came from the Netherlands as they do not look as if anyone would trade them internationally.
