Painted Glass - is it a Lamp Font?

    This piece of hand painted white glass is 8.5" tall. no markings. Due to the manner in which the lip is formed, and the traces of appears to be some sort of adhesive around the lip and the base, is is safe to assume that this was once the base of an oil/kerosene lamp?

    And this in one of those instances where the maker's name is probably useless, so I expect no direction on that question!!!!

    Wrong size or shape for a fluid lamp font. It is not drilled for electric so I would say not a lamp part. It the early part of the 1900s painted items like this were popular idecorator items. I would say it is a well used vase. You could try searching for painted rose milk glass vase or similar terms.

    I concur. 1900-1915, paint's cheaper (to produce) than colored glass. Its a vase.

    I have been using as a vase for years. I know that it is probably decorated by an amateur on a blank. But the lip is odd, sort of "over constructed" for a vase, and there is adhesive residue on both the lip and around the base.

    I thought it might be a lamp font based, not exactly, on these examples:
