Mentioned in a different thread, so I'm showing it here. Got the name wrong (of course), it's signed Canada Art, not Canadian Art Glass... which makes the name even worse for an online search. It was big: over 13" tall and weighed close to 5lbs. It did sell. I have a vague recollection that it went to Alberta.

Seriously, did you buy it from me? Still think its likely Chalet?

    Bob,

I must have bought it from you. I checked out the etching and mine matches yours. (scratch for scratch)

I had totally forgot this piece was "Canada Art", I just checked and we have 3 pieces marked "Canada Art"

I have seen one similar in Cranberry that was marked Chalet, and the 2 other pieces we have are similar to Chalet shapes.

I'll do more searching and see if anybody has come up with an answer as to who made these pieces. it has been debated quite a bit.

Too funny! Makes you realize how small the world is:)
I've never seen any before - to me the way Canada Art is printed looks a bit shaky, are your other pieces printed the same desperate?

On the other 2 pieces I have the etching is quite a bit better (And look to be done by the same hand) I'll see if I can get a picture or two.

Boy was I way off. I thought both pieces I had were similar engravings.

Here is a small ashtray and it's etching

    Thanks desperate, beautiful pieces:)
So this was a company and not someone just etching this on the glass?

I guess desperate_fun is saying no one knows for sure. I certainly don't. I think the circle of people producing this type of glass was fairly small, but people moved around. Could be someone from Chalet or Lorraine or like that who branched out on their own.

I don't see any point in buying ready-made items and just etching a name on the bottom, unless it was some gallery/retailer.

    Hi,
What a wonderful display. I love to look at this stuff but I can not for the life of me, collect it. I am such a dyed in the wool Edwardian.

Thanks for the compliments you guys.

MOS is correct when he says that I have no clue who produced it and as he pointed out it could quite possibly be from a Gallery/Retailer.
