Shipping label on antique hat trunk

    image.jpeg Been trying to figure out the name of the company for this shipping label found on a shipping cover of a hat trunk. Any ideas?

    I am 90% sure it says Maynard but I cannot find any info on the company I will add pictures in a bit

    Looks like it might be called Maynard's Express. This page from an 1894 book mentions a Maynard's Express under Keyport (New Jersey), in the Ogden Hall section of the listing:

    There is also this newspaper page from 1884 that mentions a court case related to the Maynard's Express company. It is in column 4, in the second paragraph under "Monmouth Courts."
