Old pottery savings bank

    Hello,

    already for many years I have this pottery savings bank in my collection and I wonder if you can tell me something about it. How old is it! Is this a specific style of pottery making? Have you seen something similar before?

    It looks to me like an old savings bank to be stored in the kitchen amongst other kitchen intems, hence difficult to find for burglars. It can only be opened when destroyed.

    would really appreciate your input.

    Haha exactly. Actually I think they did this with support of a knife, I guess we all still know this from old times...
