Still trying to find out how much these are worth?

  1. 20200315_114304_resized_1.jpg I have a pair of Bronze Enamel Chinese Champleve Dragon and Phoenix Urns turned 20200315_114304_resized_1.jpg 20200315_114453_resized.jpg 20200315_114401_resized.jpg 20200315_114324_resized.jpg into lamps. I have some similiar online but cannot for the life of me find any with a shape like this. I have looked for days trying to find the 4 sided shape like the ones I have. Any help with a similiar picture of these would be great. I have seen these sell for $50 to $500 but different shapes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not entirely convinced it is bronze. The top rim in the forth photo looks like it has been painted to look bronze. The enamel is also heavily pitted. Better wait for the xspurts.:bag:

Not finding any exactly like them doesn't really matter. You can compare to those similar in style. The variation in price likely depends on where and how sold. Auction prices can be all over the place depending on whether or not anyone bidding wants something. I think you can usually kick out extreme high and low prices to get an idea of true value. High end internet site pricing is usually fishing/wishful thinking. Value is really what you can get out of them in your market. Keep in mind that an individual selling something from their home can rarely get top dollar for something. If willing to ship, ebay may be your best bet for these. If looking for an insurance value, figure on the higher end for realistic prices you are seeing at auction.

@Justin Williamson I identified these as Japanese in the other thread - why do you keep calling them Chinese? There are plenty of other examples on eBay, maybe not exactly the same shape, but same age and technique? What more do you want?

  8. Because I was told they were Chinese. That's why! Chinese Dragons have 5 toes, Japanese have 3, look it up for yourself...... Also, find a style like mine and then I will listen more... Aren't things more rare when there are less of them. I challenge you to find one very similiar to these ok? I have tried for days but since you know everything about these I will wait for your reply... Thanks
