Featured Old Baby cradle /Rocker

What age and country of origin would you say this Baby crib is,

I think Georgian and from Scandinavia country maybe Norway ,

It in a strange sort of blue/green colour the base slates fit into a groove then look like it has pitch/tar holding them into place ,

And the pictures are definitely painted,

Found in the back of a other dealers shop amongst his Rubbish just couldn't resist its charm and naivete.

 

My first inclination would be modern, painted as a decorator item, but my knowledge of Scandinavian antiques is ...minimal. It is pretty though.

 

Not sure about modern there no doubting there years of dirt on there ,

 

I suggest taking it outside for better pictures and remove the white tag as it can confuse centre weighted metering into underexposure.

if it is any help I have one almost identical, Mine has a snow scene, , have had it almost 30 yrs and bought it a farmhouse auction, will be interested to learn more as I have always wondered

 

What country do you live in Nancy and do you know How long the previous owners had it ,

I know you said you got it from a farmhouse auction but was there many old things at the Auction ,

And do you think you Could post a picture of yours ,

 

I live in USA, If I remember rightly. the whole place looked like the American Pickers show, sheds piled high, , There was a lot of local interest stuff, I also bought a Sweet Sue, and an old pram, some silverware and pottery, really do not know any history and yes Ill take pics and post. I Just get the feeling that mine is newer

 

This is my take as well but will reserve full judgement until there are more/better pictures.

 

Even if modern, I like it! And, more pictures, please.
