Glass - mystery bowl, circa 1970s

Okay, I am taking advantage of your willingness to assist, and since I HAVE to sell off some stuff to exist, I am combing the cupboards for "stuff"

This bowl is octagon shape with swirled sides, 4-3/4" tall, 7-1/2" outside diameter, weighs approx. 6.5 lbs.

It is signed (engraved) on the bottom, but in a spot that is impossible to photograph (on the rim but over the "side" of the bowl - optically impossible!). I am wondering if any glass gurus can decipher the signature, possibly from the "style" of the bowl or the engraving.
