The photography is poor but it looks like mystic topaz.

Not mystic. The colors are inside.

Obviously, I could be mistaken judging solely by this one video, but I don't think it is mystic topaz as the colours seem very much set to there specific area of the stone, I notice the yellow area remaining in much the same position especially even when the stone is rotated. Plus the colour more evenly fills each area instead of being broken up and divided among the many facets. This to me looks more like a colour array has been placed behind the faceted piece to then be seen through it. It is also possible this has been heat treated in order to create the colours artificially, but I sort of still feel we are seeing the colour coming through the stone from behind as from some angels sections of the stone appears colourless in the video.

Refer to the image below of the various facets of a gemstone.
The facet style of the top of your stone appears more basic than the Pavillion side of a gemstone as it doesnt even seem to have a Culet or Table or any other subfacets and the Girdle seems to be smooth all the way instead of faceted at all, though the video is out of focus a lot.[IMG]

It's glass with a rainbow coating on the underside. This type of "gem" is very popular in costume jewelry.

Nuther view. The color does not seem to be behind either.

The few facets this piece does have is what creates the reflection of colour you see from beneath the piece. The colours in this piece are in a set position which is why the colour pattern is predictable in its appearance as the item is turned. Whereas Swarovski crystal show vastly mixed up speckles of colours in the various facets, side by side, not smoothly blending from yellow to red to blue etc as this piece does when rotated. This item essentially has a small colour wheel underneath the clear faceted item in order to create the colour spectrum you see. The main reason this item does not have a Table facet is because such a facet would destroy the illusion as you could see directly into the stone through to the bottom and simply see the colour wheel beneath it.

The more I look the more baffling it is. I moved the light rather than the stone and got different color shifts yet.

The gemmologist needs only to find the direction of the optic axis to determine whether an ametrine is natural or synthetic.
