It's not really militaria but that seems like the closet category for this.
Really cool {or was at one time} and really trashed old ship. P1040901.JPG P1040902.JPG P1040903.JPG P1040904.JPG What would you do with this if it was yours? I hate to just throw it away but who might want it?
    Thanks for your advice!

    Is it seaworthy?

I'm afraid it's more like "trash worthy." I hate throwing away something that's over 100 years old.

If you had a koi pond you could put it in the bottom as a shipwreck?

After having seen the items some people have restored, I feel it's safe to say, virtually nothing is beyond hope, if you really wish to restore it, you should be able to. If you prefer to maintain it's current state as a means to preserve its history, that should be doable as well. It's really up to you. Though if you are hoping it has some monetary value, that would be down to its history, rarity etc... Plus items like these always have more value to collectors of such items. So best check with toy, model and military themed item collectors.

Well restoring it myself is not going to happen but I wish I could get it to someone who would. I'm not expecting to get any money out of it.

Just stick it up on Craigslist for $15 and you can sell it to someone else to ponder over it! ;):D

I took your advice Antideum. I suspect I won't get rid of it until I make it free though!

I think it is supposed to be one of Columbus' ships.
Not sure which one though. Maybe the one in the middle.

Well let us all know how long it takes either way!! ;)

I sold a very large wooden boat on CL very inexpensively last year, so that's where I got the idea! :singing:

I've got a bite already. A guy says he's going to drive 50 miles to get it but you never know with Craigslist until it happens.

I’d have to think about how I’d keep my distance during such a transaction ‘cause of y.k.w.

ok here’s the plan: Instruct buyer to slip envelope with cash payment thru cracked-open door. With gloves on, count Money. No checks! If correct amt, place merch on ground inside open door so customer can get it. Say “thanks, bub-bye!” Shut door. No returns.
