I see this set on various sites ID'd as Imperial Candlewick, but it doesn't look anything like the set shown in my "Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era" book by Florence. Can someone confirm the maker?

    Thanks so much!

The handle just reminds me of beads I've seen somewhere..

And all @ascot wanted was to innocently know about the history of the item :stop: Oh well

Edited: komokwa I edited your suggestion out of my quote because it seems you deleted your message / had it deleted. It wasn't that terrible though was it?

"R" is usually pretty good on their Candlewick and has both of these listed at 9-1/2"

Thanks, Tallcakes! If I ever receive an award, it'll be for worst internet searcher! I looked on R yesterday and didn't see these pieces. I think I searched for candlewick salad set, which might have been the problem.

Seems as though someone thought it was so vulgar as to offend the better sensibilities of our mature members !

I guess there are times when my blatant sexual innuendo is over the top .

( or maybe they've got one of these in their nightstand....:jawdrop:..)

Thank you for editing out my comment in your post.....as I really don't mean to ever offend......just ruffle feathers from time to time...! )

Breathing a sigh of relief - I have this same set and assumed it was Candlewick (that's how they're sold). That said, they don't sell for much. I've been dithering if they're worth listing, given the cost of shipping. A heavy set in postage terms.

In their reference book on CW, the Garrison's say that this is the "true" Candlewick salad serving set, but that Imperial used a reeded handle set as well, but earlier.
