Thanks evelyb. I plan to sell it on ebay.
My small scale is at the store right now so I can't weigh it. It seems like wherever I need one of my scales, the jewelry one or the postal one, it's at the wrong place. :arghh:

Well duh. I use a dram scale for metal weights.

Make sure to start at a good price, angel skin coral is worth a premium! Plus, let us know when you list so we can watch and drool

It is similar - both the shape and the textured parts.

Okay - the brooch weighs 12.7 grams. How much do I take off for the coral? How do I calculate the scrap? I googled two different calculators on Google and they gave me two very different amounts.
Thanks for everyone's help on this.

About $270 bucks on gold +-. ? on coral and then add on some for profit. Just a SWAG.

I'd say start it at $300 and let fly, especially since you don't have a lot in it. Even if you only get the opening bid you're still ahead.
