I Can't ID this Stein Help

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by Luis Rodriguez, Mar 13, 2020.

  1. My brother gave this stein to me, he said his wife purchased it in a yard sale 5 or 6 years ago. I tried to id it but can't find anything with these marks. I put cinnamon on the marks so they can be seen better. It has a letter ϲ with a ∼ on top also an o and a 1/2 under
    Any ideas 20200313_104411.jpg 20200313_104400.jpg 20200313_104406.jpg 20200313_104802.jpg 20200313_104754.jpg

I'm thinking that part of your mark may be 1/2 indicating 1/2 liter/litre . Not sure if there is anything else that might indicate a maker.

You can try looking at a site like this perhaps.

My thought though is that this is a souvenir type that may have minimal value.....hope I'm mistaken.

    Hi -
The edit button will show in your original post for a short time.
You can go back, click Edit, More Options. Next to your duplicate pictures will be a delete button.

    Your stein looks post WWII.

I have one just like that w with a smile under it. People keep saying Werner Corzelius but why is it so different than the full C?

It's hard to tell what you mean, Steph, but look at the marks in the link.
