Does anyone remember a 6 seater brass dining room set, wicker backs and bottom chairs? It had a tinted glass top.

    Greetings, Doc!
Just taking a stab at the chairs you're describing ... are they Breuer chairs?
I know next to nothing about furniture, but several friends had these as dining sets in the 70's and 80's

I had a 2 chair and smallish round table set like that as my kitchen set in the 80's, quirky. But Doc said brass. I don't remember them being made in brass, but I suppose it's possible. The Breuers weren't "wicker" either, but caned as you showed.

Yeah - it was really just a wild guess :)

I've seen both brass and chrome Breuer-style chairs ... but they are easier to find with the chrome finish. Frankly, I was just too lazy to search for a pic of one with brass ;) ... but here's one.

and yes, you are correct - this is caning. My fourteen years at Pier1 imports taught me that many folks use the terms wicker, rattan, and cane, and rush interchangeably, so I consider all possibilities until I know how familiar they are with each. :)

Hi Doc, and WELCOME!! You should LOVE it here!!! We also have a lot of fun while exchanging and dissecting information!!!! When posting pictures, 1MB is the size limit, 10 images per post, and when you upload the files, the very TOP IMAGE lets you click to "post every image FULL SIZE"....MUST DO!!!!! You also will find, most of the 'experts' here would like close ups, several angles, dimensions, and any other information you can provide about the object in question.....that should get you off to a great start!!! So, Ready and Waiting.....................

Morning. I am new to the forum and I need help please. I have a string of rhino horn beads that were my grandmothers. They must be around 80-90 years old and originally from either Zambia or the then, Rhodesia. Are the legal to sell, how would I sell them and how do I establish a value?
    Thanks
    Anne
