    Nice! I didn't buy much of note this weekend, but this vesta case has the Gorham mark inside. Need to test to see if it's plated or sterling; the case doesn't say either way. It came with a really beat-up Notre Dame 1945 class ring. DSCF3463.JPG

    Here’s my Sunday picks from $avers. 3 amber necklaces, 2 Bakelite bracelets, a mastodon tusk bracelet, 4 Bakelite napkin rings, a Tiffany sterling frame, sterling baby cup, spoon and fork, 2 sterling easel back icons, a French sterling souvenir spoon, a pair of 14k earrings, a 14k swan brooch missing a stone or pearl, a 14k ivory elephant pendant and a signed sterling bolo tie, a sterling strand bracelet and a miniature basket. All for under $20.

    except for the basket...... I'd have spent more than 20...on any ' one ' of those items.......WOW..................just WOW !!!!!

    This stuff was all in “grab bags”, there’s more that I haven’t photographed, 3 advertising letter openers from the 1920’s, an Evans lighter cigarette case and a couple other things still in the car.

    Think the little basket is from Panama. (My brother brought some home recently from trip there.) (I hang ours on Christmas tree.)

    When I go into the closest Savers the silver is all silverplate including the stuff in the case. I've found some jewelry, but you have to get there when they're putting it out.

    Finally a mystery piece, will be posting under Pottery to see if anyone can help with this one. Not plaster or chalkware, some kind of clay. Just distinctive look to it, I don't think mass produced, but no signature:

    how do you pick up a watch like that and the seller doesn't turn it over and see 18K.................. i'm baffled !!!

    I pick up a gold brooch ...the seller grabs it bites it and tosses it in her purse !!!

    I need to find some new venues...:(
