    This piece was part of a lot that I picked up a few months back & I have no clue as to what it is suppose to be or how it is suppose to be used. :confused::confused::confused:

    It measures 9 7/8" x 9 7/8" across & is 2 3/4" to the side edge. The inside measurements are 9 1/8" x 9 1/8" across & 1 1/4" to the side edge.

    So what do you think, plant holder? riser for art object? serving tray????? :wacky::wacky:

    It is made of wood & I at first thought lacquer-ware, but I am having second thoughts about that also. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Thanks for any & all advice or opinions!!! :happy::happy: :kiss:

    It looks to me like a base for a specific object. Perhaps it held a glass display cube?

    at first glance I thought it was the old time in box that offices used.

    I was wondering if it held dinner napkins.

    I think it would be hard to get them out. Usually the flat napkin holders only have 3 sides so that the napkins can be easily grabbed.

    Most of them have some sort of opening but not all.

    Was just throwing out another possibility.

    I stand corrected. :oops::oops: :bag::bag:

    I have some dinner napkins in the buffet & will try it out to see how it does. :happy:

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    I thought so, too -- but the dimensions are wrong.

    If you use the side that has the edges, there would be four ways to grab the napkins.
