Another minature I have acquired. Not sure if this is also a fake one so any information is most welcome.

the writing is in ball point pen...........
not good...not bad...... & doesn't seem to be old..

Those "piano key" framed miniatures are vintage, and so to say decorator pieces, the painter did them in bunch...

Yes the frame doesn't look old but that does not mean it hasn't been re framed quite recently. Thank you

Genuine as a factory painting is...

 

I don't think it's a fake per se but agree it certainly looks to be decorative.

I have had a few in the past. Piano key frames, generally backed with an old page from a book, usually in Latin or sometimes in French.

 

I still would like to see additional photos if easy. I have positively seen nicely done ones that were 19C as well, not saying this is that old, but older ones do exist with the piano key frames.

I can see that the backing has a page from an old book which was common on these.
