I thought I could see something good in this Joblot. It arrived today and it is good.
A little game- What do you think it was.....?

You're much better than I am because I don't see much.. maybe some amber beads ? In the end, can we see the "something good", please ? My curiosity will not rest..

 

Is it the big chunky silver and amber collar? There’s a ring there but I can’t see the stones. Gold heart locket?

 

Possibly a karat gold chain draped over the silvertone and amber chip necklace in centre of picture?

Silver bangle? Pink coral brooch?

 

I agree it looks like it should be but it's magnetic, so no.

 

Silver 'bangle' is actually rather good, it's a 1915 hallmarked silver rim from a dish of some sort. Nice and unexpected as this was all meant to be costume!.Not the real gem though.

 

It a jelly belly type costume parrot. Quite sweet but no prizes yet!.
A few bits of Amber but mostly glass.

 

Locket is gold tone I think so not that. Ring is tat.

Well I was down to the end of pieces to suggest really, so no points for me.
Is it a brooch? Did you see it before you bought the lot?

 

Old coral clasp tests as at least 14ct. Thought it was missing a bead but found it loose in the bottom of the box, together with some 9ct earrings and some Ciro faux pearls with a nice 9ct clasp..

Yes @Houseful, it was on about the 5/6th photo when I'd nearly lost interest, blew up the photo and saw it hiding there.
It's a clasp so needs making into something else unless I can find a tongue to go in it.

 

I found it quite exciting, I don’t ever buy lots so I miss out on the fun of discovery. It’s opal hunters on tv tonight, love that programme.

Ooh, I don't know about moonstones, I'll go and have a look. I assumed glass.
