Fischel Chair Age Price Request

I purchased a home that was furnished (USA, Arizona) and this chair was one of the items in the home. I have no other information about the origins of this chair other than what I have read from other posts on this site. I’m curious if anyone can help me determine the age and/or approximate value.

This one states it is from 1859

Which means they are all pretty beautiful, but I cannot figure out where they sit in the age category.

 

I think the OP's is circa 1900, with that label and the strapping underneath. Probably meant for a bedroom, but it's a chair so.... whatever. I'd replace that upholstery; it's not even close to original and if you're dead lucky the original is underneath. That'll tell you what's supposed to be there. Odds are it was upholstery velvet, not something I'd want in Arizona. Mud cloth would look pretty awesome, but that's hard to put in some rooms.

 

Agree that the O.P.'s chair os ca/ 1900; may even be a bit earlier. Most of these bentwood chairs were constructed of birch. Nice chair, but value is likely to be less than $100.

 

will I live to see once a pic of a label where I do not have to perform a headstand ? the important is of course in French. Bohème (Autriche).
which puts it before 1919 when Austria lost Bohemia.
Fischel was working with licences from Thonet, so this one here could be a Thonet model - most probably is - that was also produced by other companies like JJ Kohn a.o..
