Hi all, new to site, so bare with me please
Love antiquing for unusual finds and found this item. Wondered if it was an antique louching spoon for absinthe, but can find no images like it. It is approx 8" long but may have been longer. Hollow throughout. Head has holes front and back. Front depicts a fox cross above then a crest with a horseshoe, whip and rope. Any thoughts on this would be most welcome and thanx in advance for your input.

Hi Sandra, this spoon is sealed, so no way of putting loose tea in or getting it out

Sometimes the filter end screws off the straw and is hinged to allow for cleaning small particles of tea that pass through the filter. Others, like yours can just be swished in clean water to wash.

This spoon is a STRAW used to drink Mate. It is traditional and communal -- the holes are to keep the Mate from coming up the straw.
