RCAF Wings and Heart

    I am hoping that someone will be able to help provide me with some information on the below pictures. I came across the wings and heart at my grandparents house and have been asked to do the research on it.....apparently thats what i do now....

    Anyway, I ahve searched and searched with no luck. They are both made of lucite (I belive) and would love to know the history on them.

    Sweetheart jewelry. This sort of thing was often made in-theater from perspex/lucite parts of damaged airplanes. Some enterprising machinist's mate, no doubt. Odds are some were made after the War. They had lucite carving classes in US hospitals for the wounded soldiers; the Canadians may have done it too.
