A neighbor of mine found this piece and were unable to find anything about this Mitchell Wright end table unit (per the label). It looks Art Deco-ish to me. He says the radio works. I missed getting a picture of the swing arm lamp on top so I''l post that when i get it.

It could very well be a one off . Smoking stand/radio/end table combo ! I think its pretty neat ,especially since the radio works .

I can't add more, but... yes, very cool. I'd leave it just as is... maybe some Liquid Gold or such.

This really looks like it could be a proto-type. I can not find anything about a Mitchell Wright radio company or furniture co. Can we see a close pic of the radio dial?

Hi and WELCOME Greg!! As you can see, you will find plenty of help here!!! We also have a lot of fun while exchanging and dissecting information!!!! When posting pictures, 1MB is the size limit, 10 pics per post, and when you upload the files, the very top image lets you click to "post every image FULL SIZE"....MUST DO!!!!! You also will find, most of the 'experts' here would like close ups, several angles, dimensions, and any other information you can provide about the object in question.....that should get you off to a great start!!! Good Luck!!

Sorry for not posting the requested pictures. I have been fighting a respiratory plague and then I get fast food food poisoning on top of that. I'll post them soon.

Bless Patty, at first glance I thought you had a half-shorn sheep in your third photo above. ;) :D

Thanks for the additional pictures. The more I look at this, the more I am convinced that this is a home made piece that cannibalized an old radio for parts. I did some searching to see if I could find what radio was used but came up blank. In the radio collecting world, this type of radio is called a chair-side. Whether or not this is an actual proto-type for a radio put into production is unknown. Since we can find no information on Mitchell Wright, I sincerely doubt it. There is also the possibility that the label was a bit of a joke signature by the maker.
