Curious about antiques

    Hi all,

    My husband and I recently found a great weekly auction that we instantly fell in love with. We have since purchased about 5 pieces and I think my husband got addicted to the rush of winning a bid ;)

    I mostly joined because we have a piece that I am interested in selling to help pay off some of our student loans but I know nothing about the piece. I'll post on the normal forum about the piece to see if any of you have any idea what the age is or what price I should be asking.

    Just in my brief exploration of the forums, it looks like this site is going to deepen my love for antiques! I'm in trouble now :)

    Hi, Michelle -

    Those student loans can be a BEAR - good for you & your DH (dear husband) for trying to tackle them with a bit of ingenuity via selling on the side!

    I hope you find lots & lots of "good stuff" on which to make a profit.

    If you have questions about any of the things you find, post them here - you'll find some very well-informed folks to help you out!

    Looking forward to seeing your "finds"!

    Hi and WELCOME Michelle!!!! I think you will LOVE it here!!! We also have a lot of fun while exchanging and dissecting information!!!! When posting pictures, 1MB is the size limit, 10 pics per post, and when you upload the files, the very top image lets you click to "post every image full size"....MUST DO!!!!! You also will find, most of the 'experts' here would like close ups, several angles, dimensions, and any other information you can provide about the object in question.....that should get you off to a great start!!! Have FUN and Happy Antiquing!!!!
