Your coat hanger has two locations with their telephone numbers, the first "Cabildo 451-57" and the second Av. Quintana 502. With a bit of research, specific country should be able to be identified by UT telephone exchange. (Given the number of digits, I would assume a big city within.) Interesting that dry cleaners written in English and Spanish.

I think say_it_slowly is correct re Buenos Aires. There's both an Avenida Quintana and an Avenida Cabildo there and both those addresses are commercial establishments, the first an ice cream shop and the second a telephone company office.

Dry cleaners using wooden coat hangers? I wonder if you brought the old ones whenever you brought something back to be cleaned? Like we used to return soda bottles? I can see why people would want them, they're interesting and could be used as decor.

    Hi,
I got rid of a pile of them several years ago. Most were from famous hotels but a lot of them were cleaners from the turn of the century. I still find a few with clothes on them that ended up in the far back reaches of a closet. Like Joan, I HATE WIRE HANGERS.

How about this type I found a while back.
Western started in 1926 and gone since 1987 when it merged with Delta though there was a one month spurt of operations in 2007 for some reason.
This hanger is surely from the original airline.

We have a collection of wooden hangers (usually for suits with the bar to hold the pants) which came with various suits DH bought from one of two men's clothiers here in town. They are all still in use (but some are used for either his or my winter coats).

I have a funny story about being a newlywed and accompanying my husband to get a new three-piece (vested) suit as were all his suits back then. What can I say except that I was young and innocent.

But if I decide to tell it I'll put it in the "funny/funnies" section. The question I asked while still in the store after the "fitting" embarrassed my husband no end when it happened.
