Digging in an unexplored carrier bag in the book box I mentioned elsewhere turned up these bits and pieces including one or two nicer bits.
    1-P1030746.JPG
The giant hairpin may have a gold top. Testing needed there. The brooch bottom right is finely cut ivory under glass.
    1-P1030747.JPG
Two jet items, a pendant and a disc that has come off something. The pencil like thing in the middle is a puzzle, more pictures coming. The hair combs may or may not be real t'shell. Top middle there is an onyx ball pendent in what appears to be silver, a claw mount.

    1-P1030748.JPG

Better view of the ball pendant, the back of the giant hairpin, and the pencil like thing with the end pulled out and reversed, it is like a lipstick but quite hard and black, no idea what it is for.

    1-P1030749.JPG
Another picture of the nicer bits showing how the pencil thing comes apart.

Two more from the bag, 4 inch high ivory thingies, on carved coquilla nut bases, unusual combination.

    Hi AF,
Gorgeous pieces, now I know I am "breaking in" your shed when I come to England. With Scotland shaking and roaring I am afraid to say Britain.

AF do NOT. I repeat do NOT let me into that shed! Those combs look like the real deal from here. That honker of a silver pendant should be checked out too. I'm thinking Israeli or Turkish, or something similar.

Wonderful things, Af. I love the hairpin... it's gorgeous... and the ivory brooch.

Is it possible the pencil-like thing is a mechanical pen or pencil, perhaps with some parts missing?
I know my Mom used to have a small pen on a keychain, which she kept in her purse. It had that same trick of removing and reversing one end to expose the pen portion.

Closer examination revealed it is a retractable ball point pen. Trouble is the 2 inch long 'refill' is designed to screw into the part that is made of mottled plastic like old fountain pens, and so I should think there is zero chance of finding one that works.

BTW, I think the huge hairpin thingy may be rhino horn.

The metal looks Spanish. Hard to be sure about the horn.

Montblanc makes a model called Meisterstück Hommage à W.A. Mozart Ballpoint Pen (small size) which has a refill about 2" - 2.25" long (about $4.00 on Amazon) but it may be too thin/skinny

1920's Early 30's would be about right for that Kralik basket.

Shes not gone to my knowledge, posted a few days ago, but was attacked again without posting.....I am sure it gets tiring to be attacked for posting finds.....Fortunately there are those here who love her posts, and learn from them. I agree with a recent poster, if she stops I will too. Theres NO reason she should not be able to come here and talk about antiques....................................................

Well said tauriel and sharona! I'm sorry to hear this has happened to nuff. There certainly is no need for attacks - if you don't like what someone has posted just pass on by their post. I hope whatever happened can be resolved and nuff will return with her wonderful finds!

Thanks for asking. I am still here. :lurking: Have just been extremely busy. My retail space has been going strong and I have been spending most of my time working on furniture. I have bought very little but do probably have a few things to show. In the meantime, here are some of the paint projects I have been working on......

So good to see your posts Brad what beautiful furniture! Your booth looks beautiful!!

I agree, I come here to talk about antiques with like minded folks. As for the record theres a whole lot more that does not need to be rehashed here. If you are scared of her don't come here and attack her. I'd not be so polite it I were attacked all the time, you wouldnt either
Never see you here on this thread so why come in and degrade her. Been on these boards for many years and never seen her do anything but defend herself. Must not be too scared or you wouldnt have come here and attacked again STOP STOP aSTOP Many have seen the drama and know the truth.....Attack me I may become violent

HOGWASH!!!! Or Not - it is between the parties involved. There is no reason for others to "take sides" or even be involved. Pass all the judgement you like, but keep it off the boards - it only causes more contention that is unnecessary, uncalled for and unproductive...................

Agreed, Offending posts removed from public view.
