Featured funny chinese ? wood carving with false teeth

hi guys something else i found in the week

it seems quite a nice carving(small 4 1/2"), i think glass eyes and teeth,maybe bone, hat comes off

his top set make him look comical though !

am i right in thinking not that old

ive seen a few like online, with varying ages, origins, descriptions and pricings

was wondering your thoughts

any info comments appreciated

 

I think I located a cousin?

 

My parents had one almost identical; they got theirs in India or China, I don't recall which - around 1960.

Nice piece.
Probably 1930ish.
Bone teeth, glass eyes. Wood is probably rosewood.
The fisherman probably relates to one of the gods, with fish meaning abundance.
Only my 2 cents. I could be wrong.

 

General kong: guys im back, you laughed at me when i said i was going fishing, but here i am and here are two lovely fishies

camera cuts to a quiet location by the river where two peasant fisherman lay with their heads cut off

and their baskets empty
