Help with pressed glass pattern Please

    yep, terminology has changed/evolved over the years. The old EAPG catalogs of the day called these salvers, which is a flat serving piece; which has evolved to cake stand for a footed salver. The same catalogs simply used the term bowl (sometimes footed bowl) for a compote; which is a footed bowl. Then there's the fruit basket, which is most often called a banana stand these days. Sometimes when the edge of a salver was slightly cupped up the form is called a bowl salver; which today some folks call a tazza or shallow compote...

    I love you know all this. I never knew the world of EAPG table pieces was so complex and evolutionary.

    It's actually a Light Purple / Lavender it is gorgeous in person. I would say it is an original an not a reproduction simply by the way it was molded an the straw marks in it.

    It actually very distinct color not like the purple color you see from sun exposure. Sun exposure purple is more of a pale tinge purple.

    Here are a few pictures outside in natural lighting it is very sunny out sorry about some of the glare. Just trying to give you a better idea of color.

    "sun purpling' varies depending on the amount of exposure; then there's also the artificially irradiated UV exposure which can get a very dark purple.
