    Hi all,

Recently joined and have another thread on some items I have purchased for home but also some items I am unsure off. I have done some research on this but some ideas of what it may be worth or anymore info. There is slight damage to the childs neck for some reason :(

That’s odd, identifying a sculpture as 80% bronze by weight as you would have to class it as a resin sculpture as it hasn’t been cast in a hot metal foundry. I feel it confuses buyers when people refer to things as cold cast bronze when it’s actually resin with a top coat of bronze powder resin mix. It’s been dropped by the looks of it and the head hasn’t come off. That’s an easy fix with some filler and bronze paint.

Well, you know Anne Davidson was a Scottish sculptor. You know the title of your work, the year it was made, that it was a limited edition of 500 (of which you have 264,) and what it was made of. The circumstances of your work's creation are included on the artist's Wikipedia page along with her dates (1937-2008.) Ascertaining value is a bit tricker because generally speaking, things are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. And damage does have an impact.

Thanks!! Thats some great feedback. A bit new to all this but yes there was a lot of info to go on. Sorry if I wasted anyones time. Was hoping it would be worth more but I will try and get this sold the lower amount because of the damage.

Exactly. Fully agree with the above. Thank you for the opportunity to expand our knowledge. And good luck with your item. (St. Margaret's Chapel in Edinburgh is one of my favorite buildings in the world, by way.)
