found this nice watercolour yesterday, paid £10 just on its own merit

i think turns out to be from quite a good artist (frank jameson 1899 - 1968)

hard to picture under glass

Yes, Art Deco. Here's a similar bathing suit, hair cut and pose from the 1920s.

the louise brooks pic is a perfect example, im aving that pic
