I was clearing out my mother's drawer when i came across a small spoon. I have been trying to decipher the markings but am not sure if i'm on the right track or not. It looks Georgian around the mid to end 1800's, the symbol in the middle seems to be a tin mark and who the maker is, is a mystery. I don't believe its British because of the markings. Can anyone help me?

It is Britiish from the early 20th C. It is NS not SN. Stands for nickel silver, a copper nickel alloy that contains no silver.
It was typicla to put silver like marks on non silver items to fool the guests into thinking your cutlery was solid silver.

Graves was one of the biggest early mail order retailers in Britain.

When the Post Office refused to collect packages in bulk from the main depot, Graves sent all his workforce down to the main Post Office with one package each to queue up and post them one by one, when the package was sent the employee would get another one and rejoin the massive queue.

After a day of this the Post Office resumed bulk collections.
