Greetings! I recently inherited this dresser and am wondering what era and style it is along with type of wood and what it's value might be. I'm looking to sell it in the Seattle area. It does have some cat scratches on it as you can see. I do have a buyer interested but not sure what to ask for. It's 56" tall, 30 1/2" wide and 19" deep. Appreciate any help! Cheers!

Circa 1900 or so oak high-boy chest. Really is in pretty good condition. The cat scratches look pretty superficial. It is so hard for us to tell you what to ask. You really need to check your market. Here in the Midwest, this would be somewhere in the $200.00 range (Tops). You might be able to get more in Seattle.

ah ok. It seems like most of my mother's stuff was from the same era and made of oak.

Looks like a nice piece, price also depends on things like how well the drawers work whether it stands evenly, condition inside the drawers, etc. I think where I live, you'd see this for $200-250 if drawers worked smoothly and condition was over all quite good, but even at that price it might sit in an antique shop or furniture shop for a while before selling. Very pretty, it has a bit more character than average. I like it.

Agree with Brad, check your market.
