I was quite pleased. ;) The ladle was about thirty. Tea set is VERY heavy and well made.

Around here, if it's silverplate, you'd be lucky to sell it for the ten bucks.(sigh) As for the bongs, they need something to fill them with.(LOL)

I think the fact that it's so heavily Art Deco will help it - if it were one of those faux Regency jobs, not a chance. ;)

Deco doesn't sell here either. Mid-century Modern is the flavor of the month and has been for quite a while.

Quick photos... always a mistake, and the summer light fading.

    Today's finds
some silver - the turquoise pieces are unmarked, but they looked good to me so I offered as if they were sterling

Some GF, damascene, and unknown mystery pieces
    P1090882(1).JPG
    some 14K
    P1090883(1).JPG
of which this is one of my favorites - a little pearl and diamond pin with hinged bail and clasp (for a watch?)
    P1090886(1).JPG
and one 18K mikimoto pearl ring
Aaaak! I desperately need to moisturize!
    P1090885(1).JPG

plus a baggie of costume I haven't spread out to photograph because it's just basic stuff.

I really like the elongated diamond-shaped pin at the bottom of your third photo.

You scored! Those screwbacks in the center of the 14k pile look Turkish or Israeli. And if that woven bracelet is solid 14k....whoa.

Well ... can't BOTH be true?? ;) Thanks for the compliment

and, sure ... you may shop with me - come on down ... but just so you know, elbows may be thrown if I think you're reaching for stuff I might like ;) (I've got VERY pointy elbows)

There are no marks on the bracelet, but the needlepoint pin does have a cursive "u" (or maybe an "n" if up-side-down) vibro-engraved on the back.

    Thank you!
The watch is an Omega - (other than seeing the symbol on the Olympic timers, I'm unfamiliar with the brand) ... 10K GF ... and working!

The bracelet is woven of foxtail chains with a rope chain border ... like heavy gold fabric! It's worn like a belt around the wrist ... and the end with the two tassels just dances around.

Too bad I rarely wear yellow metals.

Went to an antiques fair at Newark (UK) today, Wasn't the the best fair, It started to rain before lunch so everyone outside packed up.

Didn't find/buy anything but I was given a cabinet that had got damaged, Not sure of its age yet, Will post a piccy at some point.
